How our short links and ad tags work
Two kinds of sponsor page sit in front of some outside links: a short link that shows at random, and an ad tag that always shows. Here is one of each to try.
Two kinds of link
When a note points to another website, MintGraph may put a short sponsor page in front of it. The page shows for a few seconds, then your link opens. It pays for the work, and it never changes where you end up.
| Kind | Looks like | When it shows | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Short link | go.mintgraph.org/abc1234 | Sometimes, chosen at random | 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds |
| Ad tag | go.mintgraph.org/v/abc1234 | Every time | 10 seconds to 3 minutes |
Try a short link
This one goes to a glossary page on airdrop scams. Most visits go straight through. Some show a short page first.

Try an ad tag
Same destination, but through an ad tag. It always shows the page, so you can see what it looks like.

What you will see
- A short countdown, and a button to continue. On some pages it continues by itself when the time is up.
- Sound is on by default. The speaker button turns it off, and it stays off for you.
- Search engines and link checkers are never shown the page. They go straight to the destination.
What we never do
- We never change the destination.
- We never put a sponsor page in front of our own pages, our Telegram links or referral links.
- We store counts only. No names, no devices, no addresses. The details are on the privacy page.
One more outside link, switched automatically
This guide from MetaMask is an ordinary outside link. Because the notes switch is on, it is sent through a short link without anyone editing it: MetaMask: what are token approvals.
