Is mintflare.fun legit? What we could and could not verify

mintflare.fun shows no app, only a redirect page that says the team moves domains when flagged. What we found, the warning signs, and what to do.

Is mintflare.fun legit? What we could check and what we could not.

What we saw (25 October 2026)

  • mintflare.fun forwarded us to a page headed "Official Mintflare redirect: beware of clones" on a pages.dev address that carried a time stamp from the night before.
  • The page says scammers clone the site and file false reports to get the domain flagged, and that when this happens "we simply move to a new one". It says the service is for Phantom (Solana) users and has a "Launch Mintflare" button.
  • It lists no team, no docs, no contract address, no audit and no social accounts.

Warning signs

  1. A project that expects to change domains. A real project keeps one official address that its docs and verified accounts point to. "We move when flagged" is a pattern often seen with sites that are blocked (the statement itself is CONFIRMED from the page; what it means is our reading).
  2. Reassurance instead of evidence. "We never ask for your seed phrase" and "Phantom shows no warnings" are not proof. A drainer can say the same.
  3. A related domain is flagged. mintflare.icu has a 1/100 trust score and a "suspicious" label on Gridinsoft (21 Sep 2026), citing a low Scamadviser rating. Same name, different domain: REPORTED, not proof of the same operator.
  4. No independent trail. No press, no audit, no named team found.

What we do not know

Who runs it, what the app does, whether anyone lost funds.

What to do

  • Do not connect a wallet or sign. If Phantom shows "This domain is new or has not been reviewed yet" or a simulation warning, stop (Phantom's documented warnings).
  • If you already signed something: move funds to a fresh wallet and revoke approvals. See what a wallet approval is, and how to revoke one.
  • Check any "mint" site with our airdrop checklist.

Questions

Is mintflare.fun a scam?

We cannot say it is, and we cannot say it is safe. The warning signs are enough that we advise not connecting a wallet.

Is mintflare.icu the same as mintflare.fun?

We do not know. The names match, and mintflare.icu is rated suspicious by Gridinsoft (21 Sep 2026). That alone does not prove the same operator.

What does it mean when a site says it moves to a new domain?

It may mean the old domain was blocked or reported. A trustworthy project points to one official address from its docs and verified accounts.

What should I do if I signed a transaction there?

Move funds to a fresh wallet, revoke token approvals for the site, and sign nothing else.

This is research and safety guidance, not financial advice. Facts checked 25 October 2026. We will update this note if the project publishes a team, audit or contract.
