GRAM is Toncoin (TON) renamed. No claim, swap or migration.

What changed

  • The community voted on TON Vote (1 to 8 June 2026) to rename the native token from Toncoin (TON) to Gram (GRAM). The vote passed with 81.22% approval (CONFIRMED, TON's own article on X, 9 June 2026).
  • The rename took effect on 15 June 2026. The network is still called The Open Network (CONFIRMED, same source; also reported by Yahoo Finance and crypto.news).
  • Only the name, ticker and logo changed. Your balance and address stay the same. Projects show "Gram (prev. Toncoin)" for a three-month transition.

So what is a "GRAM airdrop"?

  • The rename itself is not an airdrop. There is nothing to claim.
  • Some exchanges run their own GRAM campaigns. One example: Crypto.com's "GRAM Airdrop Arena" ran 30 June to 30 July 2026 with US$200,000 in GRAM, and you took part by allocating CRO inside their app (REPORTED, Crypto.com event page; ended). Each campaign has its own rules and a deadline.
  • A message that says "claim your GRAM", "migrate your TON" or "verify your wallet for the Gram airdrop" matches the pattern TON warned about (RISK).

How to check an offer in three steps

  1. Is it on the host's own app or site, reached from a bookmark or the project's verified account?
  2. Does it ask you to connect a wallet, sign an approval or send crypto first? If yes, stop.
  3. Did a stranger send it to you? Real teams do not send claim links in DMs.

Questions

Is GRAM a new token?

No. GRAM is Toncoin (TON) under a new name since 15 June 2026. Your existing balance and address are unchanged.

Do I need to swap or migrate my TON to GRAM?

No. TON said no swap, bridge, claim or migration is required. Anything asking for one is a scam.

Is there an official GRAM airdrop?

We found none announced by TON itself. Exchanges run their own campaigns, such as Crypto.com's Airdrop Arena (30 June to 30 July 2026, ended). Check each on the exchange's own app.

What should I do if I already connected my wallet to a "claim GRAM" site?

Sign nothing else, move what you can to a fresh wallet, and revoke token approvals using a trusted checker. Our guide on wallet approvals shows how.
