What the Phantom "this domain is new" warning means
Phantom shows it for newly detected or unreviewed sites. It is not proof of a scam, and not proof of safety.

What Phantom says
- The warning appears for a newly launched app or site that Phantom has not reviewed (CONFIRMED, Phantom developer docs and support article).
- It "typically disappears after a few days once the domain has been reviewed" and usually needs no action from the app's team (CONFIRMED, same docs).
What it means for you
- New and honest and new and malicious look the same to this warning. Scam sites are almost always new, so treat it as a reason to slow down.
- A "claim", "airdrop" or "verify wallet" site that triggers it is a stop sign. Do not connect a wallet to see what happens.
- Old does not mean safe either. A trusted site can be hijacked, so still read every prompt.
Before you continue
- Did you get the link from the project's verified account, not a DM, comment or ad?
- Does the site ask for a seed phrase, a fee to claim, or an unlimited approval? Any one of these means stop.
- Can you reach the same page by typing the address you already know?
If you already signed something, see what to do in the first hour. To check an offer, see How to check if a crypto airdrop is legit.

Questions
Does the Phantom new-domain warning mean the site is a scam?
No. It means Phantom has not reviewed the domain yet. It is a prompt to check the site yourself.
How long does the warning last?
Phantom's docs say it usually disappears after a few days, once the domain has been reviewed.
If there is no warning, is the site safe?
No. Read what you are asked to sign, whatever the warning says.
